Group size: Whole class in groups of 3–5

Duration: 1 hour

Details of activity

 

 

Small group activity using centre grounds run as an evening time activity. Students use map reading skills, a clue sheet and torches to locate 20 markers of varying value. Students briefed on navigation and map reading techniques, activity conditions (safety, rules, markers, time) before working out their group plan (roles, route etc).

Detailed lesson plan available so activity can be led by visiting adults.
