Details of activity
Recreational Activity aiming to increase understanding of local environment with a sustainability theme. The mouth of Richters Creek is the most common site. In front of the centre is a possiblity when conditions allow. Yabby pumps and cast nets available for bait collecting, pipis occasionally available or local shops stock bait.
Instruction must include:
- Crocwise’ behaviour
- Safe casting techniques
- Dangerous animals they could catch (catfish, stingray, crabs etc)
- Safe handling of targeted fish (spines, gills, teeth, wet hands, comfort holds)
- Safe handling of knives, hooks and general behavioural expectations.
